Ocean Tone

Bound To The Ocean

this place is bound to the ocean
whales breach the surface of a sapphire sea
with one swift and blinding motion
make my life the way it's supposed to be

many years of searching far and wide for signs of life
down the river's winding road
a gentle man took me in one night
clothes on his back nearly all he ever owned
he offered me his cup and bread
gave up his bed and slept on stone

unto this ground he was devoted
on this ground he found his home
he was captured by the notion
to make life the way it's supposed to be
make his life the way it's supposed to be

this place is bound to the ocean
we are sure to reach the sapphire sea
i hear waves beat on the mountain
her fingers reaching out to me
in the echo of emotion
that sweeps the land of all debris
we are captured by the notion
to make life the way it's supposed to be
make our lives the way they're supposed to be

bound to the ocean
with her surface turning constantly
like a wave we are approaching
we are the land and life the sea
we are the sand and life the sea
