One Word Language

i watch the breath settle on your word echo

from further inside your mind miracle

the texture of thoughts on your forehead

i find you blood gorgeous... i’m watching you cry

crying droplets of wilderness

let go like sandbags thrown over the side

of your eyelashes... weightless

as retinas rise to the surface in flickering rhythms of light

we are talking in a one word language

you leave nothing undescribed

we are talking in a one word language

you say everything just right

i am ready to learn from your pupils

the colour of midnight... of water at dawn

cloaked in the cold like twin fog laden lakes

stirring quickly as eyelids are drawn

dragging tears that send ripples

across your skin canvas... i picture my touch painted on

we are talking in a one word language

you go on and on and on
