The Paintbrush

she played the paintbrush like a wand of light

worlds she would write

shades to describe the time

she played... drawing outside of the lines

spilling up over the side

the paintbrush like a wand of light

she danced with charcoal in black and white tides

space and the stripe

etching her questioning mind

she danced... spreading out all through the sky

watching the way water shines

with charcoal in black and white tides

she wove the pencil like a string bow slides

picturing sound intertwined

curves her love colours defined

she wove... contrasting low notes with high

hues that speak brilliance to sight

the pencil like a string bow slides
